About Amanda
Amanda Bechtel,

Amanda Bechtel, ATR-BC, LCPC, LCPAT is a board certified registered art therapist, licensed clinical professional counselor and licensed clinical professional art therapist. She graduated with an MS in Art Therapy from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. She is a Certified Sandplay Therapist and also certified in Internal Family Systems. Amanda has worked at both the Eating Disorder Center at Rogers Memorial Hospital in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and the Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to eating disorders, she has used art therapy to treat symptoms of depression, anxiety, self-injurious behavior and substance abuse. She holds a certificate in advanced trauma treatment. Amanda regularly presents on art therapy and eating disorders at national conferences and regional symposiums. She is on the faculty at the St. Mary of the Woods graduate art therapy program. Amanda currently sits on the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists for the state of Maryland. |
